Just for the Hell of it (my parents are becoming more lenient on how much time I can spend on the Interwebs), here are my favorite and least favorite characters from all of my fandoms:

. What's not to like about an androgynous, friendly girl who has the ability to communicate telepathically with pokemon?
. I've always liked spunky, willful female characters. Blue fits this description perfectly.
. ...I just think he's pretty. And he's nice and has supernatural powers, which is a bonus.

. Too girly, but without the spunk that makes Blue appealing.
. He's an egotistical prick, plain and simple.
. He's even more of a prick than Eusine. And a cheater on top of that. IMO he should have been disqualified from several contests already.

. I don't know what I find so appealing about him, other than his prettiness. Maybe it's due to his strength but vulnerability at the same time. Maybe it's his mysteriousness.
. Angst, prettiness, and protectiveness of Mamoru.
. I've always seen him as a starving artist. I like characters like that.
. He's just so shy and cute.

. Selfish brat. I don't like small children in the first place and Chibiusa has all the qualities about them that annoy me.
. He's a rapist. Enough said.

. I just like her cute personality.
. I like how she's so protective of Ariel, even though Ariel is part of the race that enslaved her.
. Probably the most compassionate character in the comic. She spared Ariel, despite the fact that she believed Ariel murdered her friend. She also showed compassion toward Valeria, part of a race that the drow see as mere animals.
. I just like quiet guys I guess.

. She's cruel, cold-blooded and manipulative. She may be hailed as a hero to the lower class, but I can't help but get the feeling that she's the most selfish character in the comic.
. Ugh, the arrogance. The quickest way to get me to dislike a character is to amp up their ego.

. In fanfiction, my favorite portrayal of him would probably be in Aftermath, while my least favorite would probably be in Jane Doe. I like him because I can relate to him in a lot of ways, even though we are completely different people. I don't like it when he gets arrogant, though.
. I like him in Aftermath. I can't think of a fanfiction that I actually read where I dislike him. I like him because...well, what's not to like about him? He's intelligent and seems nice. Intelligence is always a plus. I don't like partiers, though. I'm not saying it makes him a bad person, I just find it to be the least appealing aspect of him.
. I like it when he isn't portrayed as a whiny little girl. Because...he just isn't. I like the fact that he's so energetic on stage and every fan who's met him says he's the friendliest. I don't like that he spits on the audience.
. I hate the way he's portrayed in fanfiction. I don't think I've ever read a fanfiction where I liked him. IRL, however, he's probably my favorite band member, though I'm not sure why. Maybe it's his quietness, combined with his oddness and the way the other band members say that he's their moral support. I don't like it when people shit talk him :( Even if I do think he's losing touch with reality a little.
. I like the one where he turns into a three-year-old. He doesn't get a lot of characterization in that fanfiction since he spends most of it as a toddler, but it's still adorable. I don't like it when he's portrayed as this macho jerk. He has a short temper, but that doesn't make him a jerk. Have you ever seen that picture of him cuddling a kitten? A jerk can't look that cute. I don't like...well, I don't know enough about him to develop a strong disliking for any aspect of him.

My brother's in college now. I miss him.

I downloaded Firefox 3.0. I don't recommend it at all. None of my add-ons had versions that were compatible with it (even something as basic as Googlebar) and the graphics were ugly as Hell. Luckily I still had the install wizard for 2.0.0.1 and was able to delete 3.0.

Also, am I the only one who sees Jamia Nestor-Iero as being a fairly strong, serious person? (and I don't mean that in a bad way...I don't think Frank would marry her if she were a total bitch) I seem to be...

Does anyone know of any fanfic help communities for MCR or bandom? I need opinions on how to characterize the boys' wives...

Why is it that webcomic plots can get away with things that fanfic plots can't? Is it because of the pretty art?

Star Cross'd Destiny. A bit X-men like. Haven't read the whole thing.
Vampirates. Fun but exciting story about Canadian vampire pirates with ambiguous sexualities.
Earthsong. Magical Girl-esque, but with aliens that resemble mythological beings.
Okashina Okashi. Parodies anime, fanfiction and game cliches.
Beauty Man Garden. A spinoff of Okashina Okashi. You have to read the former to understand it.
Zap! In Space. Sci-fi/fantasy story.
Wayfarer's Moon. Fantasy story starring a half-elf.
Muse Academy. Human girl in a school for mythological creatures.
Ghastly's Ghastly Comic. Parodies hentai and porn cliches.
Sinfest. Typical Sunday comic, but less pretentious.
Penny Arcade. Commentary on games and the author/artists' lives.
Diesel Sweeties. Another comedy with jokes about robots, modern society and technology.
Drowtales. Story about dark elves. My icon is from this comic.
Gunnerkrigg Court. Another boarding school, this time meant for mythological creatures and humans.
Real Life Comics. A sitcom, but in webcomic form.
Scary-go-Round. Light-hearted/comedic paranormal mysteries.
The Awakened. More supernatural-ness, this time starring a guy.
VG Cats. Also a comic about games, but a little more interesting than Penny Arcade.

I feel like shit. I've felt nauseous since about three this morning. All I've had to eat today was a bite of bread, a pita wedge with humus, half a custard dish of cheesy potato slices and a bite of a cookie. The latter two proved to be too much and now I feel as bad as I did this morning. And we're about to go on a cruise, too (to celebrate my brother's graduation and my 21st birthday).

This bothers me, too.  It's kind of a common trend among support groups.  I've heard that it's damn near impossible to find a support group for  survivors of sexual abuse that don't meet in churches and/or aren't based on religion.  Even the hospital I was at, which was supposed to be secular, had a lot of religious elements in it.

And these events that transpired over a month ago are still causing me anxiety.  It's especially bad when I'm trying to focus on something unrelated, like homework or a different fandom.  I'm wondering at this point if it's biological.  I've felt that the Celexa wasn't working for a while, but I felt like crap when I missed doses, so I figured it was just subtle.  But then I read that "crashing" after not taking antidepressents doesn't necessarily mean that they were working in the first place.  Maybe antidepressants aren't for me.  What's good for OCD?

Oh yeah, and tonight I heard two girls talking in the hallway and I freaked for no apparent reason.

I know people will disagree with me, but the wording on this page is disgusting. I can't help but picture a support group of ulta-conservative Christians consoling families whose kids are "rebelling by being gay." One of their rules is that someone with Asperger's can't join their messageboard.

We are not incapable of empathy. We are not incapable of love. We do not disregard the pain of others. But this website makes it seem we do.

So, I had a hair appointment on Saturday. I've been wanting to do something drastic with my hair for a while. I was thinking about getting it cut really short, but decided against it because I don't know how it would look and growing hair out is a pain in the ass. I was also thinking about dyeing it red, but that would involve bleaching my hair and I didn't want to do that. So I ended up going cliche and dyeing it black. It actually turned out more of a really dark brown, but it doesn't look bad so I'm not complaining.

I had two strange dreams a few nights ago. In one dream, I was stuck in a cave that was made out of Unown. I was convinced that since I was invading their territory, they were going to kill me and I got really scared.  But I couldn't escape the cave because I was lost.  I did the whole stereotypical paranoid thing - fetal position, crying, rocking back and fourth, etc. - and also screamed at the Unown that if they would just show me out of the cave, I would leave.  But they never did anything but stare.

Another dream was in the form of a cute anime series called "The Pet Club."  There were three girls, each of whom owned a guinea pig, a horse, and a cat and formed The Pet Club.  One day the bad guys came and killed all the main character's pets horribly, then held the main character at gunpoint and forced her to make it look like she killed her pets.  Then the bad guys left, but the main character flipped out and killed everyone else's pets, too.

I have three newsroom stories to tell today. One editor came up with the fake headline "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" for one of the stories. It was a sports story, but I don't know exactly what it was about. I think basketball?

Recently a student stole several hundred dollars worth of equipment from the science building. We're doing a story on him this week. So he actually comes down to our newsroom and tries to persuade our editors not to put his name in the story. Did he really expect results?

And finally...our newsroom is locked, but instead of a key you have to get in using your Student ID card. Our editor-in-chief accidentally left his card in the newsroom when he went out to go to the bathroom. So one of our other editors slides it under the door, except that it goes all the way across the hallway to the utility closet on the other side, which is locked. So now our editor-in-chief has to wait for the security guard to do his nightly rounds in order to get it back...at about 4 o'clock in the morning. He can't get into his dorm until then, either, because the buildings also require your ID card.

So, I'm taking a logic course. Our assignment was to circle premise markers and conclusion markers and underline transition terms. One of the sentences was:

Clearly (P) and (P) imply (C).

Apparently me and my classmates have a different understanding of what a transition word is because our professor said that "clearly" should have been underlined. The rest of us thought that it didn't need to be underlined or circled. How can a word that isn't an integral part of the argument (or even an integral part of the sentence) be either an argument marker or a transition marker? Help me with this! (because our professor is shit at explaining things that don't make sense)

You know something? I've never played an RPG. But I probably shouldn't start. You know why? Because I would have a hard time separating myself from the game emotionally. Like if someone else's character said something mean to my character, I'd take it personally. I'm weird. In some ways I'm incredibly cold but in others I care too much.
